Optimization of DaQin GSM-R Network


This thesis frist introduces the features of GSM-R network and the differences between GSM-R and GSM network optimization, second illustrates the network architecture and its applications in Da-Qin railway, then summarized network optimization procedures, such as systematic investigation, data sampling and analysis, problem locating, optimization scheme and implementation. Through the analysis and comparision of the actual signaling procedure on Abis, A, PRI interface, the communication interruption can be categarized into five groups: hand-over failed, radio link failure, MSC temporal failure, MS originated normal call clearing and AN disconnection, then with parameters as timer, hand-over threshold and frequency planning considered, the cases of communication interruption can be found. Finally, all these previous work formed the optimization report.This thesis analyzed and located the communication problems based on signaling procedures and Parameter setting, provided an effective scheme to the network optimization of Da-Qin Railway.
